Cancellations
Please call at least 24 hours ahead of time if you need to miss a lesson so that I can schedule another student during that time. There is no charge for lessons cancelled 24 hours in advance. It may be possible to reschedule a lesson cancelled in advance.
If you miss a lesson without contacting me in advance, you will be charged for the lesson. There will be no options to reschedule a lesson missed without 24-hour advance notice.
Students who miss three lessons without notice will be asked to discontinue lessons.
I may occasionally need to cancel a lesson; I will give you at least 24 hours of notice.
Illness
If you or your student is ill but well enough to concentrate and play fiddle, we can arrange an online lesson during your regular lesson time.
Practicing
Learning an instrument takes practice, and you will get the most out of your lessons if you practice regularly. I will help you learn how to practice each new skill, but it is up to you to put in some time every day to learn it.
Listening
Listening is part of practicing! Listen to the songs you’re learning every day: either actively, or passively while in the car or doing other things at home. You can use recordings from a method book or from the Listen tab on this website.
